National Disability Insurance Scheme

Are you caring for a family member or a person with a disability?

You or the person you support may be eligible for extra support to help you with your everyday life, either now or in the future under the NDIS.

What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme is the new way of providing individualised support for eligible people with permanent and significant disability, their families and carers. The National Disability Insurance Scheme is the insurance that gives us all peace of mind.

If you are eligible, you will have the opportunity to work with an NDIS planner to identify the supports you need to help you:

  • live your life the way you choose
  • join in and be part of the community
  • build your skills and abilities
  • be more independent
  • work in Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE)
